Tucked Away Brewing can be a little difficult to find for the first time, literally “tucked away” down a side street of connected storage and industrial buildings at 8420 Kao Cir, Manassas, VA 20110. Often with a food truck on the outside, Tucked Away offers a spacious interior for its taproom which sits right next to the actual brewery.
Atmosphere
You can sit at the bar or at one of a number of large tables seating around four each. Throwback hits play rather quietly over the speakers and an array of games including cornhole and foosball are available to play. If you’re looking for a lively and loud atmosphere this isn’t the place for you. It’s a quiet and laid back environment for a chill evening after a long work week.

Service
The three of us (Greg, Andrew and Chris) all favored the Fixed Bayonets! New England IPA. While the Entry Control Point Brut was a deep and rich IPA usually making it Greg’s favorite, the surprisingly citrusy and fresh taste of Bayonets proved to be a winner. We must not have tried enough New England IPAs in the past, but we will have to work them in if they’re all as good as this one. Both were great options for IPA lovers and the microbrewery is expected to add more on tap.
5 Round KO Whiskey Barrel Aged Ale was true to its name and packed a wallop at 8.1% abv, making it the strongest beer on tap. Truly something for everyone here including a zippy and sour Salty NCO Gose at the lowest abv of 4.3%.
